Hafiz Group of Companies did not begin in a boardroom. It began with a small construction project and a team of Afghan engineers and workers who believed that Afghanistan deserved buildings and infrastructure built to be strong, resilient, and durable.

We started with small construction projects, from residential homes and commercial buildings to community and public-benefit facilities. Without foreign support and without shortcuts, our foundation was expertise, hard work, commitment, and quality.

From Construction to Infrastructure

As our experience and responsibilities grew, we expanded into larger infrastructure projects, including roads, transportation routes, canals, bridges, and public-benefit projects. We invested in machinery and equipment, expanded our teams, and trained local professionals and workers.

This journey led us into broader areas of development, including mining, natural resources, infrastructure, energy, and trade.

HGC is a diversified business and investment group operating in Afghanistan, with a particular focus on mineral exploration, mining, processing, and mineral trading. The Group utilizes its technical, managerial, and investment capabilities to develop Afghanistan’s mineral resources responsibly and create added value.

With a focus on professional exploration, efficient extraction, mineral processing, and the development of mining projects, Hafez Group aims to contribute to the growth of Afghanistan’s mining sector, create employment opportunities, and support sustainable economic development through strategic investments and partnerships with reputable local and international companies.

Energy for Development

The need for reliable power across our projects led to the creation of our solar energy division. What began as a solution for powering our own projects expanded into providing solar energy solutions for schools, clinics, homes, and remote communities with limited access to the electricity grid.

Trade and Procurement

Our trading and procurement arm was established to provide project materials and equipment efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively. Our goal is to strengthen domestic supply chains and retain a greater share of the value created within Afghanistan’s economy.
